API Reference
The EurekaLabs Management API is a REST API over HTTPS. Base URL: https://api.eurekahq.org/v1. All requests require Bearer token authentication. Responses are JSON.
Authentication
Obtain an API key from the management console under Settings > API Keys. Include it in every request as a Bearer token.
Authorization: Bearer eklk_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Sessions
Manage FIX and EKL binary sessions through the sessions resource.
/v1/sessions
List all sessions for your account
/v1/sessions/{id}
Retrieve a session by ID
/v1/sessions
Create a new session configuration
/v1/sessions/{id}/reset
Reset sequence numbers for a session
/v1/sessions/{id}
Delete a session configuration
Latency Query
Pull hardware-timestamp latency measurements for a session. All values are in nanoseconds. Query results are aggregated from the hardware timestamping modules at each gateway.
/v1/latency
Query latency for a session over a time range
Query parameters:
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
session |
string | Session ID or SenderCompID |
period |
string | Lookback period: 1h, 6h, 1d, 7d |
venue |
string | Optional venue filter (e.g. XNAS, XNYS) |
{
"session": "YOUR_SESSION",
"period": "1h",
"p50_ns": 195,
"p99_ns": 342,
"p999_ns": 580,
"samples": 18420,
"venue": null,
"as_of": "2026-01-14T14:32:00Z"
}
Venues
Query supported venues and your active venue connections. Venue list reflects the exchanges and ECNs your tier and co-location site support.
/v1/venues
List all venues supported on your account tier
/v1/venues/{mic}
Get venue details by MIC code (e.g. XNAS)
EKL Binary Protocol
The EKL binary protocol is a low-overhead alternative to FIX for clients where sub-100ns end-to-end latency is required. It uses a fixed-length header and variable-length field encoding derived from SBE (Simple Binary Encoding).
// EKL Frame Header (16 bytes, little-endian)
uint16 magic // 0x454B "EK"
uint8 version // protocol version = 2
uint8 msg_type // 0x01=NewOrder 0x02=Cancel 0x10=ExecReport
uint32 seq_no // monotonic per-session sequence
uint64 send_ts_ns // sender PTP timestamp, nanoseconds epoch
// Followed by message body (variable, SBE-encoded fields)
Full field encoding tables and schema files are available in the management console under Documentation > EKL Binary Schema.
